           T.     MOGUL  LOCOMOTIVE:
                  Work  session  planned  for             May  26,     2:00  PM.     Repair,  sandblasting  and
           priming  to  be  done  in  June.
                  Bill  for      asbestos  disposal          was  twice  the  estimate.          Research  will  be
           done  as  to  why  before  bill  is  paid.
                  Road  foreman  (locomotive  engine  expert)  from  Sacramento  offered  to  fly
           down  to     estimate  feasibility  on  engine  restoration.                       Our  cost      would  be
           airfare  only.         M/S/P  (with  2  opposing)  to  authorize  approximately  $160  for
           airfare.
                  Sand  for  sandblasting  and  primer  paint  expenses  to  come.
           U.     TOURS:.      St.  Francis  Dam  tour           a  success.        It  was  suggested  to  offer
           this  tour  each  year  around  the  anniversary  of  the  Dam  break.
           V.     NOMINATING.:.        First  meeting        June  6.      Open     to  suggestions  for  Board
           members.
           W.     RESTORATION~          First  meeting        postponed;  tentatively  rescheduled                  for
           June  3.       Charter  proposal  for  Committee  attached.                 Open  to  suggestions  and
            ideas  before  June  3  meeting.

           Old  Business:
                  Framing  of  tapestry  done;  now  hanging  in  Station  freight  room.
                   Ice  Cream  Social  July  21.          M/S/P  to  have  it  at  the  Station.
                  Membership  Directory  in  process.               Deadline  July  1  for  those  who  do  not
           want  addresses  or  phone  numbers  printed.

           New  Business:
                                    the  City  of  Santa  Clarita  for

                                                                                           budget
                                                                                                            $75,000.
    0      Correspondence  attached.              Will     probably  receive  #40,000  for  Newhall  Ranch
           House  acquisition.            M/S/P     to  proceed  with  Newhall  Ranch  House  acquisition
            in  light  of  money  forthcoming  from  City.
                  Pardee  House  status:  Pacific  Bell  has  made  no  decision  as  yet.
                   Fourth  of  July  Parade:  we  will  participate.                Application  to  be  sent.
                  Meeting  was  adjourned  at  9:43  PM  by  President  Paul  Kreutzer.
