Newhall Christmas Parade ~1975

Newhall Christmas Parade, circa 1975. A group of baton twirlers from North Oaks Park in Canyon Country. Contributor Renelle Richardson is at right in the foreground.

Shown is Clyde Houdeshell's Howdy Cleaners at 24242 San Fernando Road (renamed Main Street in 2007). It later became NAPA Auto Parts and then was redeveloped into the Canyon Theatre Guild's theater space.

The space next to Howdy's that is occupied by Western States Trophy Co. was previously Dean's Barber Shop, which Dean Frost opened in the 1960s. (Source: Vince Frost, Dean's son.)
