In the past two weeks, the COC
Cougars have had two very im-
      portant Invitationals. Through hard
work the Cougars managed to be
      consistent in both races, placing
      second in their respective division.
They placed second within the small
      community College Division at the
      October 16th COC Invitational, and
finished second at the Santa Bar-
      bara Invitational on October 23.
The Cougars held a home course
advantage on the 16th, tackling the
course as if it were bread and
butter, as they earned their second
place finish. John Brenneman, Cougar runs right . . .into opposing line.

Moorpark and Ed Ramirez of Ox-
nard are heavy favorites to win the
race, with Ramirez the more likely
       to win." He includes Brenneman,
Fuller, and Starinieri in that cate-
gory, too. The top three teams will
go on to compete in the Southern
