Bivalve (clam) and other marine fossils in a conglomeration found on Sawtooth Ridge, overlooking the Potrero Valley (behind/west of Stevenson Ranch), on the south end of The Newhall Land and Farming Co.’s Newhall Ranch Specific Plan area.

Clam measures ~3¾ inches; total length ~8½ inches.

Fossils collected ~1998 with owner’s consent (Jim Harter for Newhall Ranch Co.).
