The Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society participated in the 9th annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Poetry and Music Festival, March 23-24, 2002, by hosting a tour of the William S. Hart Mansion and Rancho Camulos, the legendary "Home of Ramona," under direction from the Society's Mary Ann Colf, with assistance from Alan Bofenkamp and Pat Saletore.

In addition, the Society set up its gift shop (under direction of Cathy Martin) inside the Longbranch Saloon at the Melody Ranch Motion Picture Show and operated the bar there (under Glen Rollins). The Veluzat family, owners of Melody Ranch, donate all bar proceeds each year to the SCV Historical Society.
