The name of this corporation shall be SANTA CLARITA VALLEY

HISTORICAL SOCIETY.

The purposes for which this corporation is formed a.re:
(a) The specific and primary purposes are for the

collection, preservation, and publication of any and all papers,

books, documents, photos, prints, records, etc., that have any his-

torical significance to Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding areas.

(b) Notwithstanding any of the above statements of

purposes and powers, this corporation shall not, except to an· insub-

stantial degree, engage in any activ~ties or exercise any powers thdt

are not in furtherance of the primary purpose of this corporation.

, (c) No substantial part of the activities of ·this cor-

poration shall consist of carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempt-

ing to influence legislation, and the corporation shall not participate

or intervene in any political campaign (including the publishing or

distribution of statements} on·behalf of any candidate for public
office.
