Abstract.
Fire Captain Tedmund "Ted" Hall, 47, and Fire Fighter Specialist Arnaldo "Arnie" Quinones, 34, were killed in the line of duty on Sunday, August 30, during the Station Fire. Their emergency response vehicle went over the side of the road and fell 800 feet into a steep canyon during fire suppression activities protecting Camp 16 on Mount Gleason outside the City of Palmdale. These men died a courageous death and as a testament to their lives and the life of any firefighter, this issue of the County DIGEST is dedicated to their memory. This is the story of Ted and Arnie.
