1899 Homeowners Insurance Policy.

$500 homeowners insurance policy issued by Fireman's Fund Ins. Co. of San Francisco to W.N. Forker of Newhall (address: NE corner of 9th and Chestnut streets). Actually, $400 for the home and $100 for the piano. Issued June 8, 1899. Insurance agent is George Campton, Newhall's general merchant. As it turns out, W.N. Forker and George Campton were related by marriage, as Forker was married to Docylciana Soto, while Campton was married to Docylciana's older sister Gregoria. Claim of $17.50 for losses sustained in a fire, paid out April 16, 1902.
