"Stories of the Century: Tiburcio Vasquez" is a dramatized version of the Vasquez story that originally aired April 23, 1954.

One of 39 episodes in the "Stories of the Century" series produced by Edward J. White for Morton W. Scott's Studio City Television Productions in 1954 and 1955. The series starred Jim Davis as the railroad detective Matt Clark, who roams the west, tracking down outlaws and bandits who prey on the railroad. Principal filming locations were the Iverson Ranch in Chatsworth and Republic Studios in Hollywood.

The half-hour Tiburcio Vasquez episode also used Vasquez Rocks in Agua Dulce and featured Anthony Caruso as the bandit and Glenn Strange as Sheriff Billy Rowland.

Also: Mary Castle as Frankie Adams, Edward Colmans as Padre Amador, Lillian Molieri as Dolores Vasquez, Eddie Parker as a trapper and Frank Hagney as Greek George Allen.

Uncredited cast members include Chick Hannan, Carol Henry and Jack Tornek as Vasquez henchmen; Leonard P. Geer, Cactus Mack and Frosty Royce as sheriff's deputies; and Forbes Murray as a teller.

The Vasquez episode was directed by William Witney, assistant-directed by Archur J. Vitarelli and written by Maurice Tombragel. Cinematography by Bud Thackery, film editing by Irving M. Schoenberg, art direction by Frank Arrigo, set decoration by John McCarthy Jr. and Perry Murdock.
