Three Cougars Named All-Americans by the National Strength and Conditioning Association

The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) named three College of the Canyons athletes with All-American awards in Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Year. Sophomore Kelli Lewis from the women’s basketball team, sophomore Cal Vogelsang from the baseball team and sophomore Justin Cudworth from the football team were honored with the award.

Cougars Ready for “Legacy” Game with Hornets

It’s hard to believe it, but the 2010 College of the Canyons football season will officially be over in the next 48 hours, baring the longest game in football history. But despite the fact that COC has already played 10 games, the team’s legacy has still yet to be defined. A season that started so promising is left hanging in the balance for one last game.

Renegades Ruin Cougars Playoff Hopes

For the second consecutive week the College of the Canyons football team found themselves in a must win situation. The outcome this week was not what they were looking for as the Bakersfield Renegade take away the Cougars hopes for a National Division, Northern Conference championship and a chance to make the playoffs in a 41-14 stomping on Saturday.

Cougar Football Prepares for 2010 Season

With the start of a new season less than a week away, the 2010 edition of the College of the Canyons Cougars are back on the field, practicing with a commitment and intensity not seen since the team’s heartbreaking loss to Mt. SAC in the 2008 Southern California Championship game.
