Cougars upset Antelope Valley in double overtime thriller

Cougar fans felt that love late Saturday night as the COC football team upset undefeated Antelope Valley College 62-61 at Marauder Stadium in what was a total shootout between Canyon quarterback Ryan Kasdorf and Antelope Valley’s double threat of Derrick Dison and Edwin Westlund.

Cougars Ready for “Legacy” Game with Hornets

It’s hard to believe it, but the 2010 College of the Canyons football season will officially be over in the next 48 hours, baring the longest game in football history. But despite the fact that COC has already played 10 games, the team’s legacy has still yet to be defined. A season that started so promising is left hanging in the balance for one last game.

Renegades Ruin Cougars Playoff Hopes

For the second consecutive week the College of the Canyons football team found themselves in a must win situation. The outcome this week was not what they were looking for as the Bakersfield Renegade take away the Cougars hopes for a National Division, Northern Conference championship and a chance to make the playoffs in a 41-14 stomping on Saturday.

Cougars Sink the Ship on the Pirates

In a do or die game the College of the Canyons football team pulled out all the stops on Saturday night against the Ventura Pirates. With the National Division, Northern Conference on the line Saturday night the Cougars stayed alive with hard fought 37-24 victory at Cougar Stadium.

Cougars Ready For Home Opener Against Citrus

College of the Canyons prepares to open the gates at Cougar Stadium for the first time in 2010 Saturday night. The Cougars will host Citrus, a team the Cougars beat in their last contest back in 2006. COC comes into the game ranked No. 12 in Southern California, while Citrus appears in the rankings for the first time since 2007 at No. 20. Jason Galvin has the preview.
