A needle rapping on a 78-vinyl record is a rare sight these days, but College of the Canyons Art Gallery brought this blast from the past Thursday when it opened its newest exhibition, Vinyl: The Art of the Album Cover.
The Cul-de-sac magazine features the work of poets, writers, artists and photographers. Editor in chief, Vincent Gutierrez described the submissions as “edgy and acerbic” with artwork consisting of controversial foreign leaders like Adolf Hitler.
It’s the 2nd week of the new semester at COC, and the campus art gallery is opening for the first show of the fall after taking some time off for much needed renovations over the summer. In an impressive exhibit, the gallery displayed works of art from three-time Pulitzer Prize winner, the late Paul Conrad.
