Mr. and Mrs. Larinan lived in the center of Pico. Mr. Larinan attended Felton School. Their children were Mollie, Lillian and Mike.

the Contreras [sp?] lived near the Hoags — Mr. & Mrs., and children Margaret, Ophelia and Robert.

The Hoags lived close to the start of the canyon. Mr. & Mrs., and children Frances and Steve. Mrs. Hoag had inherited Robert Louis Stevenson's old summer home.

Sullivans Café was by Highway 99.

Mrs. Dill lived in my house before I moved in. She was my bus driver for 8 years. She never missed a day, rain or shine. When she lived at Mentryville she had nine children.

Charles Ruggles bought Dad's trick horse, Shelia [Sheila?].

After moving [from Pico Canyon] to Newhall Avenue in 1941, I went to San Fernando High School. I worked as an usher in the American Theater.

After high school I worked at Solemint Junction, at MacDougall's Café, driven by Jeriann MacDougall (Bowman). Then I worked at Newhall Drug Store (Ralph Williams).

I met my husband, Gerald P. Kelly; married at Catholic Church.

When children were small, my father-in-law, Earl Kelly, lived in a house on Melody Ranch as caretaker.

My sister, Peg, worked at Bermite. Walt was manager of Standard Station. Don and his wife, Juanita, spent their honeymoon at the lookout on the hill above Acton. Earl was a mechanic and bus driver at Hart High.
