Ruth Ella Clark
1991 SCV Woman of the Year

Ruth Ella Clark of Canyon Country passed away on April 15, 2011.
Ruth was born on November 22, 1921, in Corning, N.Y. She moved to Saugus in 1955 with her family and has worked as an Executive Secretary at Bermite Powder Co., Credit Union Manager at Thatcher Glass Co. and Staff Assistant to County Supervisor Michael Antonovich. Ruth has been an active member of the SCV United Methodist Church, Zonta Club, Canyon Country Elks Lodge, the Canyon Theatre Guild, Red Cross, Boys & Girls Club and the Historical Society, among other organizations in the SCV community. After retiring Ruth remained active in her Church, the Zonta Club, and the Elks Lodge.
Ruth is survived by her four daughters, Ella Clark, Judy (Tom) Tomlinson, Terry McMullen and Marion Ostrom; six grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Utter McKinley Mortuary, 11071 Columbus Ave, Mission Hills. Graveside Services will be held Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Eternal Valley, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA.
Ruth's family wrote, "Ruth was a wonderful, kind, loving lady and our community mourns her death."
