Maxine Inez Gray

Maxine Inez Gray, 87, of Santa Clarita, CA. passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. She was born in Drexel, Missouri on November 4, 1927 to Benjamin and Nellie Alley.

Maxine was a devoted housewife and proud mom of 8 children. Maxine married the love of her life, David Alfred Gray, at 16 years of age and together they celebrated 71 years of marriage. In 1968, she and her husband moved to Saugus and have been residents of Santa Clarita for the past 47 years.

Maxine will forever be remembered for her impeccable style and talent. A fashionista at best, she kept the ladies at her church anticipating what outfit she would put together for Sunday service. She was known for her fancy fashion and followed the simple rule of: the more sparkle the better. Maxine also had a beautiful voice and loved singing alongside her twin sister, Corrine. With their movie star good looks and pitch perfect voices, Maxine and her twin sister entertained many audiences.

Her friends and family will truly miss Maxine. She is survived by her husband Gary, her children: Brian, Wayne, and Dale, Gale and her husband Kenny, and Kevin and his wife Leanne. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will take place on Thursday, August 27, at 11 a.m. at the Village Church, 24802 Alderbrook Dr, Newhall, CA 91321.
