Marilyn Heisner Morgan
Acton Resident, Concert Violinist


Born Inglewood, California 09/03/1935

Died Palmdale, California 08/09/2015 4:45 p.m.

Graduated from Inglewood High School

Earned BA History from Stanford and MS in accounting from San Diego State University

Lived in Acton for past 18 years, and in San Diego for 25 years. She was a professional violinist for 18 years, the last five of which she played with the San Diego Symphony. Her favorite pieces were Bach's 9th Symphony and Finlandia by Sibelius. She was also an elementary school teacher and accountant.

Marilyn was involved in the Lions Club, the American Association of University Women, and Acton Community Presbyterian Church. She loved to play Bridge and was an excellent cook.

Survivors include her beloved companion Ronald Morgan, her sister Dorothy Bjork of Dallas and her three children Jeanne Murphy, Fred Banta, Meg Ford and five grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at Acton Community Presbyterian Church on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 3:00 PM after which she will be put to rest in Acton Cemetery.
