Kathy Marie Hartzel

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away after two years battling cancer with incredible strength and courage. A native of Memphis, Tennessee, Kathy moved to the Santa Clarita Valley in 1983 where she worked as the office manager of a successful dental practice. After raising her three children, Kathy became a registered nurse and worked for Anthem Blue Cross.

Kathy loved doting on her grandchildren, attending their cheer competitions, recitals and sporting events. She was constantly surrounded by friends and family who adored her glowing smile, gracious manner and kind spirit. Kathy leaves behind daughters Amy Ingram and Heather, son Matthew, granddaughters Ashlee and Madison and countless friends.

The funeral service will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Highway, Newhall 91321 on February 8 at 10am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Fund that has been set up in Kathy's name.
