Jose "Joe" Ruelas, beloved and adored husband, father, brother, friend and mentor went peacefully to our Heavenly Father surrounded by family and friends on October 13, 2014.
Joe was born in Los Angeles, California on February 6, 1974 to Jose Ruelas and Elvira Bonal. He moved to Castaic, California in 1985 where he graduated from Saugus High School.
He discovered his love for running during his high school cross-country years, and that drove his desire to complete the Los Angeles marathon three times.
Joe's true passions were biking, hiking, dancing, cooking, and most of all, he loved gathering family and friends together for camaraderie, good food and celebration. Fatherhood was the greatest source of pride and joy for Joe. The love he showered on his children will be forever enduring and uplifting, and his kindness and goodness will live in them forever.
Joe is survived by his wife Veronica, daughters Sabrina and Samantha, son Luis, mother Elvira Bonal, father Jose, siblings Rosa, Victor and Michael Cornejo.
Services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Newhall, California.
