Thornton Edwards, the so-called "Paul Revere of the St. Francis Dam Disaster," who rode his police motorcycle door-to-door during the wee hours of March 13, 1928, to warn sleepy Santa Paula residents
of the impending flood, co-stars in Monogram's 1947 Cisco Kid picture, "Robin Hood of Monterey."
Read about Edwards' police and film careers here.

Placeritos (Monogram) Ranch owner E.R. "Ernie" Hickson is credited as the technical director and is listed on IMDB as the art director, which
gives a strong indication that his movie ranch (the future Melody Ranch) was probably used. Hickson was usually listed as technical and/or art director when he provided sets (his movie ranch) and props from
his on-site prop warehouse.
