Ron Entrekin was a professor at College of the Canyons for the past seventeen years. Now, he is retired, as of the end of the 2018 fall semester.

He has made a huge impact on the staff and students throughout the years.

Sophia Lesseos, a Cougar News reporter, interviewed long time staff member Dave Brill as well as a few of his former students.

Jonathan Stratton, a cage worker at COC and a former student, talks about how Ron has helped guide him through media and has taught him everything he knows about cameras.

Will Davidson, a student has known Ron for over 10 years, says that Ron has taught him not just how to work with the cameras but how to work in the business..

Candace Williams, a current student, has had Ron as a teacher for the past 4 years and says that he is the most helpful professor on the campus.

Dave Brill is a professor at College of the Canyons and has worked beside Ron for almost 20 years. He says that they are almost like brothers and that with Ron leaving it is going to be completely different without him.

Ron Entrekin wanted all of his students to know that he has learned more from them then they have from him and that his is very sorry he couldn’t get to know more of them.

After seventeen years of teaching, we hope you enjoy retirement, Ron.
