M*A*S*H actor Michael Farrell and writer George Shea hosted a video presentation of a one-act play performance of Dr. Keeling’s Curve at COC earlier this semester.
The video was shown in Hasley Hall 101, presented by The Institute of Ethics, Law and Public Policy, which focused on the discoveries of Dr. Charles Keeling (Farrell), the first scientist to successfully measure carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere. Dr. Keeling’s Curve tries to educate its audiences on Dr. Keeling’s efforts to measure the effects of atmospheric change created by global warming.
After the video, Farrell and Shea answered a round of questions from the audience and encouraged active participation in solving the issue of global warming.
Farrell is more widely known for his role as Capt. B.J. Hunnicutt on the television series M*A*S*H, but focuses much of his attention on solving social issues.
