In the third annual future chefs throwdown culinary students in the William S. Hart School District had a little over an hour to create a steak based dish for four judges.
This competition was designed by Chef Michael McClintock to simulate a real-life kitchen for students who want to pursue culinary arts.
The winning team gets their dish on the Wolf Creek Brewery menu for a temporary time, but last year the winning dish was so popular that it is now a permanent part on the menu.
This year the West Ranch CCR team took home the plaque with their tropical surf and turf inspired dish.
The dish will appear on the Wolf Creek Brewery menu later this year.
