The American Red Cross held a blood drive on the Canyon Country Campus this Wednesday.
Despite low attendance in the morning, students were drawn in later in the day due to nearby activities put on by the HUB club – an organization dedicated to fostering a sense of community among students.
The event attracted a few first time donors who were eager to help those in need. Some of the donors had even known people whose lives had been saved by transfusions.
Before giving blood, the Red Cross recommends potential donors eat a full breakfast and drink plenty of clear fluids.
