At least three separate threats were made to Santa Clarita Valley high schools in February. Following these incidents, students and faculty within the William S. Hart Union School District have been on high alert questioning what they can do to stay safe.

Saugus High School was placed on a soft lockdown on Feb. 15 after a threat was phoned in. On Feb. 22, criminal threats were posted to social media targeting West Ranch High School.

On Feb. 26, a substitute teacher at Hart High School allegedly threatened a student during a political debate.
