On Saturday, November 4, vendors and sponsors of the Santa Clarita Marathon held a health and fitness expo at the Valencia Town Center.
Many sponsors were giving away swag bags and other merchandise, and others were giving away free massages to visitors.
The expo was also a chance for participants in Sunday’s races to pick up their numbers and shirts. However, there was also a booth for last minute race registrations — just in case.
Boston Scientific, a sponsor of the Santa Clarita Marathon and a company dedicated to “transforming lives through innovative medical solutions that improve the health of patients around the world” hosted health and fitness expo and the runner’s lounge.
Other sponsors included the Children’s Hospital hosting the Kid K, to Whole Foods hosting a build-your-own trail mix station.
The overall atmosphere at the Expo was cheerful – most likely in anticipation for the marathon on Sunday. And with swag bags, flyers, furry friends, and free massages galore, it was tough to feel otherwise.
Sunday’s races included a 5k, a half marathon, and of course, the 26-mile Santa Clarita Marathon.
