California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal solo-vehicle traffic collision that occurred on the 18,000 block of Little Tujunga Canyon in Santa Clarita.
According to Officer Brandt with The Traffic Management Center, a vehicle was found in a steep ravine around 10:50 a.m. by a sheriff unit Thursday Morning.
According to Brandt, last Thursday a missing person was reported to the Los Angeles Police Department.
“We do believe that this is the missing person that the LAPD was looking for, however, that is still being investigated,” Brandt said.
According to Los Angeles County Fire spokesman Marvin Lim, fire fighters were called to the scene at 2:25 p.m. to extricate the person from the vehicle.
According to Brandt officials are not sure on the exact time that the traffic collision occurred.
