Local talent, games for kids and Dorothy the Duck are on tap for this year’s 15th Annual Rubber Ducky Festival.
The event will benefit the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers, a non-profit organization that provides health care services to over 5,000 Santa Clarita residents that either cannot afford or otherwise have no health-care.
“In addition to primary health-care we noticed that affordable dental care was a big need in our community and mental health counseling were also needs,” said Philip Soloman, Chief Executive Officer of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Centers.
In addition to primary health-care, the centers now offer low-cost dental care and have partnered with California State University, Northridge to offer mental-health services.

There are three locations throughout the Santa Clarita Valley including two outreach locations at College of the Canyons and California Institute of the Arts.
Raffle tickets to benefit the the health organization can be purchased at sdfhc.org. The event will be held at Bridgeport Park in Valencia on Saturday, October 14 from 11a.m. to 2p.m.
