In the second game of double-header, the Cougars’ offense took a dip compared to their eight-run performance in game one. The runs were scarce in the early innings of game two, as the first run wasn’t scored until the top of the fourth inning on a passed ball by pitcher Alexis Ramirez.
The Cougars’ offense started to heat up in the bottom of the fifth inning when left fielder Bailey Bodkin hit a triple that would score Sienna Vannoy. Bodkin would be sent home on a sac fly by third baseman Alexis Avila to give the Cougars the one run lead that would secure them their second win at home on Tuesday.
