College of the Canyons played the Victor Valley Rams in a doubleheader last week and the Cougars came out on top winning both games by a final score of 4-0 and 17-5.

COC pitcher Justin Dehn had his best stuff going with him in the first game as he struck out 10 Victor Valley batters in the first game.

“I was really getting ahead, first-pitch fastball. Two-seamer had a lot of movement, and just pitching to contact.” Dehn said.

The second game of this doubleheader was an offensive display for the Cougars as they managed to put up 17 runs. Right fielder Chris May had an excellent day at the plate going 4-6 with six RBI’s. Third baseman Calvin Estrada also had three RBI’s in the win.

Chase Wheatcroft picked up the win in the second game going five innings, gave up five runs, and struck out four.
