Santa Clarita was swept by a massive storm on Friday causing floods, downing trees, and stretching resources as authorities raced to keep Santa Clarita residents safe.
Heavy rains brought flooding to the southland. Reservoirs and waterways filled to the limit as
the rain pummeled Santa Clarita. Authorities urged caution when approaching waterways.
Vehicles were damaged by fallen trees, left to await their fate as authorities raced to keep roadways open. Workers in the area worked quickly to remove fallen trees blocking roadways.
Now that the storm has passed, authorities are busy preparing for the next storm that could be right over the horizon. Residents are warned to stay away from flooding roads and to not drive through more than 6 inches of water.
