A massive Southern California storm caused floods and damage. Downed trees, power lines and mud slides crippled the Santa Clarita area as first responders were stretched thin trying to help residents through much of Friday.
The usually dry waterway leading to the Santa Clara river near Magic Mountain Parkway and Railroad Avenue was at capacity as the water stretched the entire width.
Vehicles damaged by downed trees in Newhall were left in their parking spots.
