Two people died and another is in critical condition after a late night traffic collision on Sierra Highway.
The crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Tuesday when a white Chevrolet sedan veered off the road and struck a nearby Edison Power Pole on Sierra Highway in front of Eternal Valley Memorial Park & Mortuary in Newhall, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department and Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.
“It was one vehicle that left the roadway and collided with an Edison power pole.” said Sgt. Scott Shoemaker of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station
All lanes were re-opened by approximately 4:30 a.m., said Sgt. Myers of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The cause of the collision remains unknown at this time.
