All the way from Kansas, the Westboro Baptist Church came to Santa Clarita Valley to show their disapproval of 5 local churches on Sunday.
SCV United, a counter protest group, stood only feet away on the same sidewalk to prove they were there to take a stand against Westboro Baptsist.
“All walks of life from Santa Clarita coming together to show our unity in this community,” Nick Ventura of SCV United said.

After making their rounds, Westboro Baptist Church eventually left to continue their protests at their annual stop, the Oscars.
