COC’s Hands on Earth joined Community Hiking Club President Dianne Erskine-Hellrigel to help build a trail.
Hands on Earth Advisor, Jeannie Chari, wants club members to experience nature first hand and become a part of the plan to live sustainably.
The trail, Dagger Flats, has been in the works since April 2014, making full use of donations, volunteers and grants.
The volunteers duties involve hauling rocks and railroad ties, as well as clearing plants to create the actual trail.
For more information, or if you would like to become a volunteer on this trail, email Dianne Erskine-Hellrigel through Community Hiking Club’s website.
