At first glance he seems to be your average college student, but there is something unique about this young man that sets him apart from the norm.
‘Typical’ and ‘Luke Bugbee’ do not belong in the same sentence.
Born and raised in the Philippines, Bugbee’s family had been faithfully serving as missionaries through Grace Community Church.
He currently attends the Master’s College and is in his sophomore year.
Studying both Bible and business, Bugbee hopes to one day provide for a family and go into full time ministry overseas.
But what is it that truly distinguishes him amongst his peers?
Luke is what you would call a self-learner. Although possessing innate artistic ability, this man’s creativity levels far exceed the average.
“Drawing is a way for me to express myself without having to use words,” Bugbee said. “And that just comes easier to me.”
For the past two years, Bugbee has been drawing and selling his own art, bringing in consistent commission. This inspires him to continue on with his God-given gift.
One of his paintings even proudly sits in the office of John McArthur.
Light-hearted, driven, talented, creative, adventurous and completely in love with his Savior, Jesus Christ, Luke Bugee raises the bar for 20-year-olds today. His drive and discipline invokes the question, “What am I doing with my life?”
