Reports of an attempted kidnapping and a sexual battery near College of the Canyons has spurred a search for two men, according to campus officials.

The incidents involving two female victims occurred Wednesday afternoon when a female student walking toward CalArts along Rockwell Canyon Road was approached by a blue Nissan Altima with tinted windows.

The suspect’s plan to force her into the car was foiled when the female student kneed the man twice in the groin.

The suspect was last seen heading southbound on Rockwell Canyon Road and is described as an African-American male, 25 to 28 years old, wearing a red t-shirt, a black sweater, jeans, and a black backpack.

Four hours later, another female student was confronted by an unknown man inquiring about the college, according to school officials.

The woman was walking towards the upper parking lot from Aliso Hall when the man approached her a second time, asking if she was interested in taking pornographic pictures.

The suspect proceeded to follow her and grabbed her buttocks before fleeing.

The second suspect has been described as an Asian/Caucasian-mixed individual in his early 20s, with short black hair, an athletic build, and was wearing a tan hooded sweater with blue jeans.

Any information on either cases should be directed to the Campus Safety Office at (661) 362-3229.
