A statewide Amber Alert has been issued after four children were abducted from their grandmother’s home in Los Angeles on Friday afternoon.
Investigators say the suspects, Rose Chairez, 28, and Enrique Felix, 28, took their biological children from Chairez’s mother’s home in Boyle Heights at 12:30 p.m. Friday. KNBC-TV reports the children were in protective custody over past allegations of domestic violence and child abuse.
The children are identified as 7-year-old Enrique Felix, 5-year-old Justin Felix, 1-year-old Veronica Felix, and 1-year-old Janeth Felix.
Police say the suspects are traveling in a dark-colored – possibly gray or purple – Chrysler PT Cruiser with paper plates and a missing hub cap.
The public is urged to report any sightings by dialing 911 or call Los Angeles Police Department at 323-342-4101.
