A friend of Dylan Zimmerman, the College of the Canyons student killed in a crash last Friday, recalls memories of the 21-year-old music buff.

Zimmerman was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital following an afternoon collision near the intersection of Copper Hill Drive and Copperstone Drive on Feb. 14.

A white Ford Fusion was traveling eastbound on Copper Hill Drive and collided with Zimmerman’s black Honda Civic as he exited Copperstone Drive, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies.

He succumbed to the massive injuries shortly after.

Zimmerman, a 2011 Valencia High School graduate, studied architecture at COC.
