After a three year process, the City of Santa Clarita has finally approved the remodeling of the Santa Clarita Sports Complex gymnasium floors.

Ron Fierro, Parks Administrator, says the city plans to replace the floors, scoreboards, repaint all the walls, and increase the length and width to regulation size.

The current courts, a type of plastic flooring, are due for replacement, after being the standard for courts for 15 years. The new court is called MONDO, which was the official court for the Olympic games in London 2012, is said to be the most durable and highest performing gymnasium and multipurpose synthetic surface in the industry.
