Free prizes, food, and school supplies were handed out to students at the fall 2013 Welcome Week held at the Canyon Country Campus. Various facilities and programs were on hand to inform students about the many opportunities available to them on campus.
Program representatives welcomed close to 10,000 students to the 2013 fall semester. The students that braved the heat long enough to stop and check out the different booths received information about how to get a bachelor’s or master’s degree from the University Center and how to get help from the TLC lab. There were also plans on display of what the new campus will look like.
Welcome Week ran from Sept. 2 to Sept. 5 and according to student volunteers, the number of students attending and participating in the festivities, is much higher than last semester.
