Local group and volunteers prepare care packages for local troops

The Newhall Library played host to Armed Forces Day as Prayer Angels for the Military, American Legion, and Hero Home Source L.A. prepared care packages to be mailed to troops from the Santa Clarita Valley.

The care packages consist of hygiene items, snacks, and other supplies.

People were welcomed to also sign a “Thank You Troops” banner which is also being mailed along with the care packages to the deployed troops.
