Following its Mar. 14 groundbreaking ceremony and a slew of pre-construction tasks, College of the Canyons finally received the states approval to begin construction of its new Student Services/Administration Building Friday.
“All contracts have been signed, bonds and insurance paperwork has been completed,” said Jim Schrage, Vice President of Facilities at COC, “The construction project will begin immediately.”
The $17.8 million, 4,600 sq. ft. student services building will house the financial aid office, transfer and career center and counseling center.
The Student Services/Administration Building is expected to be finished by Jan. 2015.
