County dedicates newest SCV fire station

Ribbon CuttingA new fire station now has dedication plaques following a Friday morning celebration.

Station 150 located on Golden Valley Road in Canyon Country is the newest firehouse in the City of Santa Clarita.

The new facility houses a three-bay apparatus room, several offices as well as a training room and dormitories for a 10 shift personnel.

The location also houses a hazardous materials squad.

As battalion headquarters, Fire Station 150 will also be the command post during major incidents.

A total of 15 stations currently serve the Santa Clarita Valley.

The new 19,667 square foot facility adds to the count and will further decrease response time for the surrounding community.
