Sara Caldwell has been teaching at College of the Canyons in the MEA department since 2004.
With many years of experience in film, video and screen writing, Caldwell is teaching Film Making 1 at COC this semester. What Caldwell values most about teaching is “the relationships that she builds with [her] students”. She also values “the hands on approach” in film making when working with her students.
When Caldwell is not teaching, she enjoys a variety of hobbies from fitness to the arts. Caldwell says, “I’ve ran 3 marathons and like to stay active whether running, walking, biking, kayaking, or something new. I also love art, writing and travel”.
In addition to teaching, Sara Caldwell is also a part-time technical writer for Boston Scientific Neuromodulation, a biomedical device company in Valencia.
Caldwell’s main interest is in independent film making. She enjoys collaborating on new projects with “ [her] husband and peers through [her] company, House of Gorey Productions”.
Caldwell is currently working on a short horror film called Boarding House.
