U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Emken made a brief stop in Santa Clarita today hoping to bolster her bid to unseat longtime incumbent Dianne Feinstein.
A September poll showed Emken trailing the 79 year old Feinstein by nearly 27 points. Emken’s campaign staff insists the margin is closer.
Emken who previously and unsuccessfully ran for congress in California’s 11th district in 2010 said her opponent spends most of her time in Washington D.C. and is ignoring many of the state’s problems.
Emken spent about an hour with supporters and other Republican candidates including Scott Wilk and Buck McKeon.
Emken then left for another campaign event in Long Beach.
