Wednesday, Apple announced their next generation handset, the iPhone 5.
The fifth generation iPhone features a 4 inch display with a redesigned back made of aluminum, a changed from the “glass sandwich” design they have used since the introduction of the iPhone 4.
The iPhone also for the first time is compatible with AT&T, Sprint and Verizon’s LTE networks.
The iPhone 4S, now the previous generation handset, is now available for $99 and the iPhone 4 is available for free with a two year contract.
The iPhone 5 will be available for pre-order on Friday Sep. 14 starting at $199.
Launching alongside the iPhone is iOS 6, bringing new features like turn-by-turn directions, “flyover”, FaceTime calls over cellular networks and the ability to take panorama pictures with the native camera app.
