Low brings home championship

Cerritos, Calif-  Sophomore Track & Field Runner Chris Low Brought home the State Championship in the 800-meter dash on Saturday.  Low ran a school record 1:49.16 at Cerritos College this weekend. Low is no stranger to winning as he brought home the championship last year as well becoming the only runner in COC history to win back to back state titles in any event.

Also performing well at the state championships were Joe Brabick who threw a javelin just over 186 feet, for a fourth place finish, Freshman  Jacqueline Keeley who broke a school record in the 400-meter hurdles and the heptathlon, and Sophomore

Amber Wright who broke the school record in the 400-meter dash with a time of 55.30 seconds.

The men’s team finished 12th overall and the women finished 16th.
