College of the Canyons recently went Green for the day as Santa Clarita residents dumped their hazardous waste at the campus in order to safely dispose of it.
Various items were discarded by residents including different kinds of paints, chemicals, and even electronics.
“(Electronics) aren’t super-hazardous or anything,” said hazardous waste worker Eric Brown. He stated that it’s just more of an environmental recycling thing, and it’s good to keep those kinds of things out of the landfills.
