Rafael Love, Wes Bartole, and Brad Wyche were all named to First Team All-Conference selection. Wes Bartole averaged around 15 points per game for the Cougars while Brad Wyche averaged just over 12 points a game.
Rafael Love also became the 11th Cougar, and first since 2007, in school history to receive first-team all state honors from California Community College Athletic Associations Men’s Basketball Coaches Association.
Rafael Love led the Cougars in scoring, averaging over 17 points per game while hauling in 200 rebounds, and snatching 46 steals during the 2011-2012 season.
Love is the fifth player to receive the All-State Honors during coach Howard Fisher’s 12-year tenure. He joins a list of names that includes Durrell Davis, back-to-back all state honoree Carlton Spencer and 2007 recipient honoree, Andre Murray.
The Cougars finished the season 15-13 after a first-round playoff loss to host L.A. Valley.
