Media Day Coming to COC

If you ever wanted to meet and talk to a professional from the world of journalism, film, animation or sound arts, you will get your chance next February.

College of the Canyons and West Ranch High school have teamed up to host the 3rd annual media day.

The event will begin at 8:00am on February 4th with a continental breakfast near the COC amphitheater, followed by 3 different one hour sessions that students may attend.

Scheduled to appear our several anchors and reporters from KABC-7, KTLA-TV and other media outlets. In addition, independent filmmakers including Mike Ott who directed “Little Rock” and “Analog Days”, will share what it takes to make it in a very competitive film business.

Also on hand will be Hollywood screenplay writer Ron Mita whose credits include, Robots, Swat, and Sniper 2, and “Franklin and Bash” editor Mark Bougeois.

Animators who excel in hand drawn animation and computer animation will also take part as will Sound designer John Lacroix.
